Marriott International has recently opened its second hotel in the upscale Santa Fe neighborhood of Mexico City. Located just around the corner from entertainment, shopping and dining options, the newest Marriott makes room for a growing market of high-end travelers.
"Mexico remains one of the most vibrant countries for new development in all of Latin America," said Rob Steigerwald, COO for the Southern Americans at Marriott International. "This beautiful hotel brings the highest levels of accommodations and service to Mexico."
Corporations having meetings in Mexico will find more than 13,000 square feet of flexible space or host conventions in a 9,140-square-foot ballroom. Additionally, this 221-room hotel offers technologically advanced rooms that include high-speed internet, 42-inch plasma televisions and iPod docking stations. The Marriott will also have two fine dining restaurants and a state-of-the-art wellness spa center.
Travel to Mexico has steadily risen over the years despite some political uncertainty, and a number of U.S. hotel chains have set their sights on the capital to improve tourism in the area.
