On July 27th, flights in and out Athens resumed after two days of air traffic controllers strike. Meanwhile, other disruptions are to expect as the social climate remains tense. On July 28th, Greeks are facing fuel shortages as truckers launched an indefinite strike since July 26th. Some 70 to 80 percent of gas stations across the country have run out of fuels.
As the country is facing economical turmoil, the government recently announced various austerity measures that triggered social discontent. Additional protests and unrest are likely through the next months. Further transport disruptions are possible this summer.
